A few months ago in this newsletter, I recommended the book Farsighted: How We Make the Decisions That Matter Most by Steven Johnson. In this New Yorker article, author Joshua Rothman considers many of Johnson's arguments (and those of other experts on decision-making) through a lens that most people can relate to—the decision of whether or not to have children.
