When teams are new to generating the assumptions that their ideas dependent upon they tend to generate five or six assumptions and call it a day. It's not good enough.
Our ideas depend upon a wide variety of assumptions: desirability, viability, usability, feasible, and ethical assumptions.
When generating assumptions, we want to get specific and we want to think expansively. Our goal is to uncover the riskiest assumptions that need to be tested first. The more assumptions we generate, the more likely we'll identify their riskiest ones.
