These two articles, one by Jonas Downey and the other by Richard Nisbett, demonstrate the importance of conducting experiments. Nisbett writes, "We can pay dearly in blood, treasure, and well-being, for experiments that aren't done." Downey's article takes the other approach of examining all the benefits of conducting proper experiments. Both articles are highly recommended.
